Which compression class?
Compression is measured in mmHg at the ankle. If a health professional has given you a class, order that class. Otherwise this is how the three classes are generally used.
Light support. Travel, long days standing or sitting at a desk, tired or heavy-feeling legs. Easiest to put on and a good first pair. Available in 4000, 5000, 6000 and 7000.
Moderate, firm support. The class most commonly recommended by health professionals for daily wear. Takes a little more effort to put on. Available in all five lines.
Strong support, normally worn on professional advice. A donning aid makes these much easier to manage day to day. Available in 3000, 5000, 6000 and 7000.
Venosan labels its classes to a different standard from brands such as Sigvaris and JOBST (15–20, 20–30 and 30–40 mmHg), so the numbers look different, but class 1, 2 and 3 still mean light, moderate and strong support. Been given an mmHg figure rather than a class? Call us on (02) 9062 3243 and we'll match it to the right Venosan class.
Not sure about size? Venosan sizes come from your ankle and calf measurements (plus thigh for thigh highs), and most lines also come in Short or Long length. If it's the wrong size, unopened items can be swapped.
